Hi Readers. Hope you are enjoying December and celebrations are in full swing.
Today’s post is very much relatable in day to day life of you and me. We often witness such incidences but forget to look at other side of the story.
Recently I travelled to and fro by auto rickshaw. I like to travel through Auto. It has some mindful reasons behind.
Rickshaw does not hold us from seeing outside. It takes through areas buzzed with different shops. It shows the line of trees planted on dividers. Many times trees are colored on their stems. On stopping at signal, aroma of Jasmine, Roses and Rajnigandha draws us to carry them along at home. Aroma of markets, elegance of Cars irresistibly keep eyes on roads.
A week ago, I hired an auto rickshaw and driver was supposed to charge me bill according to meter. But then he asked for more money over meter price. With smile he asked for Rs.20/- I nodded for his request. I don’t want to highlight what I did. Interesting part is after reaching my destination. On getting down I gave him a bill plus some amount. He smiled with peace and happiness on his face. Shortly he reset the meter and drew rickshaw in search of other rider.
I contemplated his richness. He works day and night to bring variable handsome amount at home. He made me think of such people over others having “wealthy” life.
Rs.20/- are going to add small value to his living in this expensive economy. Each customer may or may not be paying extra charges. But he is happy while going back to home on calculating the cash he “earned”. He is happy and motivated to work harder and take more rides.
It taught me lessons to stay happy with whatever I have and to thrive for betterment of me and my family.
Note: These are my views. No offense on having different opinions.
